The Texas Boys Choir was founded more than 50 years ago as one man's mission to provide to any boy who qualifies, regardless of socio-economic or ethnic background, a structured environment for the development of a world-class, professional choir of boys. The choir stands today as an internationally known touring organization. Once described as "the best boys choir in the world" by renowned composer Igor Stravinsky, The Texas Boys Choir has over 30 recordings to its credit, two of which have won Grammy Awards. The choir has appeared on all major national television networks as well as on airwaves throughout the world. They are the recipients of a Bronze Award from the International Film and Television Festival of New York, and their recording of The Star-Spangled Banner currently welcomes tourists to the National Visitors Center in Washington, D.C.
